Abbey's Army - Fighting Against Fanconi Anemia for Abbey Meet our daughter and artist Abigail Franzen. Abigail was diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia (FA) one day after her sixth birthday. Abbey will need a high-risk bone marrow transplant to save her life. FA is a rare genetic disorder that leads to bone marrow failure and is fatal without treatment. Even with treatment and a successful transplant, the average lifespan is only thirty-three years of age. We are continuing to fight for a cure. A cure is found through research, and research needs funding. Today scientists have found 18 genes in the Fanconi panel. There were only 10 known genes in 2013 when Abbey was diagnosed. Abbey is doing her part to help us fight. She has created beautiful paintings, and all the money we raise will be divided between the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund (FARF) and Abbey's Army Medical Fund. Join us in the fight!! We are so very grateful to everyone who has supported us with numerous prayers and donations!
